Neftaly: Empowering Athletes from Marginalized Communities through Mentorship
???? Objective
Neftaly is dedicated to supporting athletes from underrepresented and marginalized communities by providing mentorship opportunities that foster personal growth, skill development, and community engagement. Through strategic partnerships and initiatives, Neftaly aims to create pathways for these athletes to excel both on and off the field.
???? Key Mentorship Initiatives in South Africa

Focused on previously disadvantaged South Africans, The Sports Trust enhances education through sport by providing sporting equipment, kits, and building facilities in disadvantaged schools. Their efforts ensure that youth have access to sports, promoting holistic development and mentorship opportunities. - Help A Child South Africa
This organization offers mentorship programs where athletes and professionals guide children from marginalized communities. By sharing knowledge and skills, mentors play a significant role in shaping the future of these children. - Africa Athletics Foundation (AAF)
AAF provides comprehensive support to youth, including access to training, equipment, and mentoring programs. They collaborate closely with communities to address the unique challenges faced by young people, aiming to empower them as leaders. - Sports Aid Africa (SAA)
SAA impacts over 100 disadvantaged children and youth annually through sports, education, scholarships, mentorship, nutritional meals, equipment, and leadership programs. Their initiatives help break cycles of poverty and hopelessness, fostering community development. - PeacePlayers South Africa
Engaging with 600 youth aged 9–35, PeacePlayers offers year-round basketball training, conflict resolution education, and leadership development activities. Their programs include mentorship components, empowering youth to become leaders in their communities. - Special Olympics South Africa – Athlete Leadership Programme
This program allows athletes to take on new challenges and give back to communities. Participants are trained to become coaches or officials, empowering them to share their successes with new and upcoming athletes. - South African Rugby Legends Association (SARLA)
SARLA provides sports coaching and life skills training to youngsters from previously disadvantaged areas. Their Vuka Rugby programme and Iqhawe Week offer mentorship and development opportunities, helping youth progress in rugby and life.
