Neftaly: Creating Interfaith Youth Programs in Parks
At Neftaly, we believe in the power of connection, inclusion, and shared community spaces. Our initiative to create Interfaith Youth Programs in Parks is rooted in the goal of fostering understanding, respect, and unity among young people of different religious and cultural backgrounds.
Why Parks?
Parks are natural gathering places — open, neutral, and welcoming. By hosting interfaith activities in these shared spaces, we promote accessibility and a sense of belonging for all. These environments encourage interaction in a relaxed, outdoor setting, ideal for open dialogue and cooperative learning.
Program Goals:
- Foster Mutual Respect: Create opportunities for youth to learn about each other’s faiths and traditions through storytelling, discussion circles, and cultural exchanges.
- Build Friendships Across Differences: Promote teamwork through games, sports, and joint service projects that require collaboration and trust.
- Promote Peaceful Coexistence: Use dialogue and experiential learning to reduce stereotypes, dispel myths, and cultivate empathy among diverse participants.
- Empower Future Leaders: Encourage youth to take on leadership roles in organizing and facilitating events that bridge cultural divides.
Activities May Include:
- Interfaith sports tournaments
- Community clean-up days
- Youth-led panel discussions and art projects
- Faith and food sharing festivals
- Peacebuilding workshops
Our Impact
Neftaly’s interfaith programs are more than just events — they’re stepping stones toward more inclusive communities. By bringing together young people in environments that encourage dialogue and mutual discovery, we help lay the foundation for long-term social cohesion.
