January 1999 marked the start of a new year of strategic initiatives under the Neftaly–DBSA partnership. The focus remained on expanding youth development programs, enhancing community empowerment, and advancing infrastructure projects across Southern Africa. This report highlights key achievements, financials, challenges, and plans for the upcoming months.
Strategic Priorities
In January 1999, the partnership focused on:
- Education & Skills Development – broadening vocational, IT, and entrepreneurship programs.
- Community Empowerment – strengthening small business support, financial literacy, and health initiatives.
- Infrastructure & Sustainability – extending water, sanitation, and energy access projects.
- Alignment with Regional Development Goals – supporting DBSA’s vision for inclusive socio-economic growth.
